Real Estate and Asset Management is a business unit of the BFAS division, reporting to the Acting Chief Financial Officer.

Mission Statement
The office provides cost-effective real estate services in support of Syracuse University’s mission, and is charged with all administrative and management duties and record-keeping functions relating to Syracuse University owned and leased real property, administration of the Guaranteed Mortgage Program, coordination and payment of property taxes, filing of appropriate real property tax exemption applications and renewal forms, and provides oversight of the management of University-owned Marshall Square Mall, local University-owned residential rental properties, the Phoebe’s Restaurant property at 900 East Genesee Street, and the ground leases for the private student housing ventures.

To provide sound leadership, direction and oversight for the acquisition, leasing, management and disposition of Syracuse University real property both domestic and worldwide in accordance with the University’s core principles and values.
