Select Initial Projects in Support of the BFAS Strategic Plan

Signature strategies are realized through the delivery of projects that may be undertaken by a single BFAS unit or addressed cross-functionally by teams comprised of multiple BFAS units, and, where appropriate, constituents from across the University community. Projects are expected to be ambitious yet attainable and their achievement measurable. The BFAS Strategic Planning Steering Committee will continue with the charge of plan management include initiating, supporting, and monitoring plan achievement. Select initial projects include:

  1. Complete the evaluation of the Syracuse University Steam Station.

  2. Continue ongoing implementation of the Enterprise Risk Management program.
    Project lead: Anthony Callisto, Campus Safety and Emergency Services
    Update from May 2019: New University Audit Executive Begins Tenure
  3. Continue the comprehensive review of the RCM budget model.

  4. Advance Syracuse University’s real estate strategy.

  5. Evaluate options for implementing Campus Framework student housing recommendations.

  6. Develop a comprehensive BFAS communications plan.
    Project lead: Jennifer Horvath, BFAS Central Office
  7. Create and operate a BFAS “Boot Camp” for newly-appointed academic leaders and relevant support staff.
